Today, our Nursery class took part in a fun and meaningful cabbage peeling activity. The children were excited to explore the cabbage leaves with their hands, discovering new textures and layers while enjoying a playful learning experience.
Why Cabbage Peeling?
Cabbage is soft, safe, and easy for little hands to peel. This activity encouraged the children to use their senses of touch, sight, and smell, helping them connect with nature and practice basic life skills in a hands-on way.
What Did the Children Learn?
Through this simple task, the children developed fine motor skills, built new vocabulary such as “leaf” and “green,” and learned to focus and cooperate with friends. It was a wonderful way to support early development through real-life play.
