There is something about the Mid-Autumn Festival that brings familiar memories back the moment we see the full moon or lanterns lighting up the streets. For children, Mid-Autumn Festival does not need to be anything complicated. A lantern held in little hands, a mooncake shared with loved ones, the lively sound of lion dance drums, or moments of play with friends can be enough to create a memorable Mid-Autumn season.

This year, 4Life Education brings those familiar joys back with Hội Trăng Làng Phố – Moonrise Fair 2026. Inspired by the image of a little village beneath the moon, the event recreates the warm and familiar atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival with traditional food stalls, folk games, children’s performances, and the lively sound of lion dance drums.

Our much-loved DIY activities are also a special part of Hội Trăng Làng Phố. Children can create something special together with their parents and grandparents, enjoying the simple joy of making something with their own hands and imagination.
Creating Mid-Autumn gifts together
At the Mooncake Workshop, children have the chance to make their own traditional Mid-Autumn mooncakes. From preparing the ingredients to shaping and finishing their creations, each little mooncake carries the children’s excitement and joy.

The Traditional Art Workshop also brings children closer to familiar objects from traditional life. Conical hats, bamboo trays, and other bamboo items become materials for children to explore their creativity, choose their own colours, and decorate them in their own ways.
A colourful Mid-Autumn space

The 4Life Education space is filled with the familiar colours of the Mid-Autumn season. A little village market, thoughtfully prepared stalls, and the warm scent of freshly made mooncakes create a warm and familiar festive atmosphere.

Families come together to enjoy the celebration. Children dress up in their favourite outfits, happily explore different corners, and meet their friends. The sound of lion dance drums, children’s performances, conversations, and laughter come together to fill the space with energy and joy.

Each family enjoys Hội Trăng Làng Phố in their own way. Some families make mooncakes together, while others try their hands at painting and decorating. Some simply wander around the market, enjoy familiar treats, or stop to watch their children having fun.

When Mid-Autumn becomes a shared memory
Year by year, Hội Trăng Làng Phố has become more than an activity for children. It is also a chance for the familiar joys of Mid-Autumn to be passed on and become part of the childhood memories of a new generation.
A lantern can become even more special when it is made together with a child. A mooncake can also become more meaningful when the whole family prepares it together. The sound of lion dance drums, the colours of the little market, and the familiar flavours of the season can all bring back childhood memories that may have seemed so far away.

And on an occasion like this, grown-ups also have the chance to return to the Mid-Autumn Festivals of their own childhood. The difference is that this time, they get to share those familiar joys with their children and the people they love.
4Life Education would like to thank all the parents, children, and teachers who helped make Hội Trăng Làng Phố 2026 such a beautiful celebration. Another Mid-Autumn Festival has come and gone, but the moments we create together will remain in the memories of every family.
