At 4Life Education, we believe that art is not merely a subject—it is a way of seeing, feeling, and expressing the world. It nurtures empathy, cultivates creativity, and strengthens a child’s connection with their inner world. To help parents better understand the meaningful role of art in children’s development, we hosted a workshop titled “The Values of Art – For Parents”.

Workshop: The Values of Art
This intimate and engaging session offered valuable insights into how art can be a bridge to emotional well-being, intellectual growth, and deeper parent-child connection.
Key themes explored during the workshop:
– The 5 Core Values of Art
Parents explored how art supports not only creativity but also cognitive and emotional development. Art encourages critical thinking, self-reflection, and open-ended exploration—essential skills for children navigating an ever-changing world.
– The Relationship Between Arts and Academics
The workshop helped clarify how artistic practice enhances academic performance. Far from being a distraction, art fuels curiosity, problem-solving, and innovative thinking—benefits that extend to subjects like science, math, and language.
– Hands-on Art Experience
Participants had the opportunity to engage in simple but profound creative activities, experiencing firsthand the joy, focus, and freedom that comes from artistic expression.
Speakers:
– Artist Frank Diaz, Definitely under the umbrella of abstract.
– Artist Jessica Cultrera, Definitely under the umbrella of abstract.
Assistant: Mom Nguyen Thi Linh Nga – Master of Public Policy, Waseda University, Tokyo
Honoured guest:

Workshop: The Values of Art
The “Values of Art – For Parents” workshop was not just a conversation about art—it was an invitation to see the world through a child’s eyes again. Through every brushstroke and color blend, we were reminded that art is a language of the heart, and every child deserves the freedom to speak it.
